Whirlwind

Life has just been a whirlwind. That's about all I have to say about that.

Here are some pictures of the little darling from the past few months! He's so fun. Crazy active, yes, but still very fun! I need to get him a trampoline. :) He is starting to say some fun things like: glasses, juice, sista (don't ask), ouch, oww, thank you, hello, love you. Now you do have to speak eli-nglish to understand and you have to listen closely b/c he throws it in with a string of jabber. BUT he's getting the talking down! And now... the pictures.

The mullet before Eli's first hair cut.

I cut his hair and it looked pretty good, if I do say so myself.

Eli and his friend Davis!

Pumpkin farm. He's not really sure what to do with this experience.

Finders keepers

Anyone know where this picture is taken???

How about INSIDE my cabinets. Eli has a few cabinets he can get in to that are unlocked. Well, today he figured out that he could crawl in the unlocked cabinet and get to the things in the locked cabinet. Genius baby. :)
Here is another photo documentation of this event...

ELI!

At this very moment, one year ago today I was having a melt down as I walked in the delivery room. "Mrs. Britney, go ahead and put on your gown and we'll get your petocine going." My response "WHAA!" I was just so overwhelmed. It was a lot to take in! My life was about to change forever and there was NO going back! What in the world?! Come 8 AM I was pulled together and hooked up to every device known to man I think. At 8 PM little Elijah made his debut! My favorite memory of that day was when he came out he was crying and crying and I said his name and he stopped. He knew me! So fun!
Well, change my life he did. He's amazing and I never would have thought being his mom would be so much fun! Eli is one fun kid! He loves to laugh, hang upside down, play "where's Eli", walk, and play with things other than his toys. :) He eats like a champ and loves his milk. He has his share of meltdown moments but they are few and far between. He loves to sing and dance and has quite the engineer mind. He can figure out how to work things or is trying to and if he can't do something he can figure out a way to do it using what he has. He gets that from his poppy (and mommy). Talking is at an all time high at the moment. Though not many words have been formed we are hearing all about what is going on in his little mind! We love it!
His party is on Saturday and I'll post pictures shortly after. Hopefully I'll figure out how to post video and get that up as well.
Thanks to all of you that prayed this baby into existence. It was a rough road but we're here and all is well!
Eli, mommy loves you!

Updates

Ring... FOUND! Praise the Lord! I found it in a drawer that we had looked in several times already.

Here are some things that I have been up to (well, like a month ago)
Operation laundry room clean out. I couldn't really even walk in there b/c of all of the brooms and mops and stuff. Who needs that many sweeping devices?!
Here is the before...

The finished project.

Eli's easter basket. My mom made my sister and I baskets similar to these when we were little bitty so of course I had to carry on the tradition and make Eli one! I thought it turned out pretty well!

FYI: Why did Ne.w Kid.s On The Block try to make a come back. I think they are Re-diculous!

RING any bells? Ugh

If you know me at all you know I LOVE many things in life. Quirky things. I become very attached to them. Such as my wedding ring. I'm not one of those girls that is counting the days until I can upgrade it. Well, I have misplaced my wedding ring and can not find it anywhere. I'm taking a break from searching at the moment to rest. I LOVE my wedding ring. I don't want any other ring. We searched and searched until we found THE one. There is no other ring like it. In fact when we found it I had NEVER seen anything like it before. There are TONS that look like it now but none as perfect in my eyes. I remember Brad not liking the ring but loving my reaction to it. He loves it now too. I also remember thinking people were going to think it was ugly b/c it had rose gold on it and it didn't look "normal." Which may be one reason I loved it so much! I'm not much of a "normal" person.
Brad proposed on Dec 21st of 2006. It was perfect. I hadn't showered in at least 2 days. I have been packing to move like a mad woman. He had been gone all day at work and various other things (like picking up said ring). I remember wishing all day "I wish he would get his butt over here and help me pack! Maybe he's getting my ring today..." I would resume packing. He came to rescue me to take me on a "break" which turned out to be a VERY long break. We went to dinner at Chip.otle, our favo. Then he took me to the church and proposed to me there. It couldn't have been more perfect for me. No makeup. No shower. No cute clothes. No people or crowds to entertain. No distraction at all. Just us and the Lord. It was perfect. Then he pulled out the ring and I was SO excited that he had decided on the ugly one that I loved so much.
You know. As I've searched and searched today for my ring it's been interesting. It makes me feel like part of us is missing. Brad says "It's just metal and rocks. We'll find it or replace it." He's right but it's just the heart of the matter that is buggin me. In searching I found a note that I wrote to him before we were married and it reminded me of how much I love him. And recalling this story has even more reminded me of how great he is and how much he loves me. Maybe that's what this is all about. Maybe misplacing my ring has been purposed by the Lord to help me find my focus on our love again (no gagging please). Maybe the Lord will give me my ring back now. :) LOL!
P.S. I've gotten lots of things organized as I search for my ring! That's a plus.

Here's a picture of my cute 10 1/2 month old! YIKES

Fabulous find and give away...

Ok girls (and closet husband readers)!
I stumbled upon a great find today! A girl that I graduated with from High School (yikes) has a business making ADORABLE baby bedding and accessories. You have got to check out her site here.
It's hard to find super cute stuff so here's a great solution to the grueling search!
Enjoy!
